Built on the shoulders of the open source community, they called it the <a href=\"http:\/\/orfeo-toolbox.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ORFEO toolbox<\/strong><\/a> and it\u2019s still widely used to this day.\n<\/p>\n<p data-v-1911fb4e=\"\">\nORFEO is an image processing library aims at high spatial resolution data. It\u2019s a mixed bag of remote sensing tools including:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n \t<li>Image segmentation, classification and filtering<\/li>\n \t<li>Change detection<\/li>\n \t<li>Radiometry, PCA and pan sharpening<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p data-v-1911fb4e=\"\">\nOne big plus is its \u201cLarge-Scale Mean-Shift segmentation (LSMC)\u201d. This type of object-based image analysis is a rare feature seen in software nowadays.\n<\/p>\n\n<h3><span id=\"5-GRASS-Geographic-Resources-Analysis-Support-System\">5.
